By using Prayer Network, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you sign in to Prayer Network, we collect the following through your chosen sign-in method:

• Google Sign-In (Android): Your name, email address, and profile picture provided by Google.
• Apple ID Sign-In (iOS): Your name and email address (or the private relay email if you choose to hide your email with Apple).

We do not collect or store your password. Authentication is handled entirely by Google or Apple.

1.2 User-Generated Content

The App allows you to create and store personal content, including:

• Prayer requests and prayer journal entries
• Personal devotional notes and reflections
• Journal entries including mood selections and attached images or documents
• Rich-text formatted notes
• Profile photo and cover photo uploaded by you
• Prayer posts shared to the public prayer feed (visible to all App users)
• Private prayer requests shared with your chosen Prayer Partners

Private content such as journal entries is stored securely in Firebase (Google Cloud) under your account and is accessible only to you. Content you choose to share — such as prayer feed posts or Prayer Partner requests — is visible to the intended recipients as described above.

1.3 Usage Data

We may collect anonymized usage data to improve the App, including:

• App features accessed and frequency of use
• Device type and operating system version
• Crash reports and performance data

This data does not identify you personally and is used solely for App improvement purposes.

1.4 Device Permissions

• Internet access: Required for authentication, syncing data, and loading devotional content.
• Camera (optional): For taking photos to attach to journal entries or to update your profile picture.
• Photo Library (optional): For selecting images from your device to attach to journal entries or to update your profile picture.
• Storage (optional): For exporting journal entries as PDF files to your device.
• Notifications (optional): For daily devotional reminders and Prayer Partner activity alerts, if you opt in.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage your user account
• Sync your prayer journals, notes, and devotional content across devices
• Provide personalized devotional and prayer features
• Enable community prayer features such as the prayer feed and Prayer Partners
• Send optional daily devotional notifications (only if you opt in)
• Improve App performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
• Respond to support requests

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase, which provides industry-standard security including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Firebase is compliant with major international data protection standards.

Your private prayer journal entries, devotional notes, and personal reflections are stored under your account and are not accessible to other users or BABFO staff unless required by law. Content you choose to share publicly — such as prayer feed posts — is visible to other App users as intended by the feature.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google Firebase: Authentication, real-time database, cloud storage. Privacy Policy
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Delivery of push notifications to your device. Privacy Policy
• Google Sign-In: OAuth 2.0 authentication for Android users. Privacy Policy
• Apple Sign-In: OAuth authentication for iOS users. Privacy Policy

We do not share your personal data with any other third parties, advertisers, or analytics companies.

5. Children's Privacy

Prayer Network is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can view all data stored in your account within the App.
• Correction: You can edit or update your profile and content at any time.
• Deletion: You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Portability: You can export your journal entries as PDF files from within the App.
• Withdraw Consent: You can sign out or delete your account at any time.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

8. International Users

Prayer Network is developed in India and our data is stored on Google Firebase servers. By using the App, you consent to your data being processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy, regardless of your country of residence.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via an in-app notice or update the effective date at the top of this document.
