Account & Data Deletion Policy
Effective Date: August 1, 2026
At Prayer Network, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can delete your account and its data yourself, directly inside the App, at any time — no request, no waiting.
Delete Your Account From Inside the App
This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately:
- Open Prayer Network and sign in
- Open the menu and go to Settings
- Scroll to Delete My Account
- Confirm, then sign in once more to prove it is really you
Your account and data are deleted straight away. You will be signed out and will not be able to sign in again with those credentials.
What Is Deleted
- Your account profile — name, email address, country, profile photo and cover photo
- All prayer journal entries, devotional notes and reflections
- Journal attachments — images and documents stored in cloud storage
- Mood logs and journal folders
- All Prayer Partner connections, together with the private prayer requests, "I prayed for you" records and verses shared within them
- Your Bible bookmarks, highlights and reading progress
- Your saved prayer reminders and notification settings
- Your sign-in credentials — the link to your Google account, or your email and password
Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered. If you want to keep your journal, export the entries as PDF from the Journal section before you delete your account.
What Remains, and How to Remove It
Prayers you posted to the public prayer feed, and comments you left on other believers' prayers, are not removed automatically. They stay so that the conversations around them are not broken for the people still praying.
If you would like those removed as well, you can delete individual posts yourself before deleting your account, or email us and we will remove them for you:

- Subject: Prayer Network Account Deletion Request
- Please include your full name and the email address registered to your account
We acknowledge requests within 48 hours and complete them within 7 business days.
If You Cannot Sign In
The in-app option requires signing in, because we must confirm the account belongs to you before destroying its data. If you have lost access to your account, email support@babfo.org from the address you registered with and we will verify and delete it for you.
Deletion Timeline
- In the App: immediate.
- By email: acknowledged within 48 hours, completed within 7 business days.
- Backups: copies held in routine system backups are overwritten and permanently gone within 30 days.
- Security logs: basic technical records kept for security and abuse prevention are retained for up to 90 days. They cannot be used to identify you.
After deletion you may create a new account at any time. It will start empty — previous content cannot be restored to it.
Effect on Prayer Partners and Circles
Any active Prayer Partner connections are ended and removed. Your partners will no longer see anything you shared privately with them, and the private requests and verses exchanged within those partnerships are deleted. Your partners' own journals and private data are untouched.
You are removed from any Prayer Circles you had joined. Circles you created will remain for their other members.
Third-Party Accounts
Prayer Network uses Google Sign-In, or an email address and password, for authentication. Deleting your Prayer Network account does not delete your Google account — that is separate and remains entirely yours to manage.
All of your data held in Google Firebase, which is where Prayer Network stores accounts and content, is deleted as described above.
